Straight out of ATL by way of Nashville, the TN-based Clutters premiere the new music video for their track “Run” (from their album Breaking Bones on Chicken Ranch Records) directed/written/edited by Atlanta’s formerly-own (checks watch…yeah, he’s probably in LA by now) Jay Wade Edwards. Jay’s been the writer/director/editor of Stomp! Shout! Scream (aka Monster Beach Party) as well as the Monster Trilogy short film compilation; editor/producer of Aqua Teen Hunger Force — both the show and movie — and Squidbillies, and has been recently captured by Das Haus Der Maus for their own nefarious animated plans.
Says Jay, “I got the idea of a woman haunted by her former self– the embodiment of her past not allowing her to move forward in life. The haunting becomes so intense that the adult woman finally breaks and bludgeons her younger self to death in an explosion of blood. I saw it as something that could be beautiful and horribly violent in a psychologically uplifting way. Fun!”
Horror trainspotters take note: the video features Jas Sams (fresh from the first segment, “Amateur Night,” of anthology flick V/H/S), as well as the effects work of that segment’s blood specialist, crimson stuff guru Blake Myers.
Dig it, piglets!
